About breast pumps and feeding

Every mother sets up her pumping routine differently. For a mother going back to work, it's about set times of the day; for a mother at home, it's about sharing the night-time routine. A breast pump lets you set up this routine in the way that suits you.

The Weewell electric double breast pump lets you express from both breasts at the same time; you can also use it on one breast if you prefer. The massage phase starts at a low pace, then you move on to the expression phase. The levels are adjustable, so you choose the one that feels comfortable for you.

Breast milk storage bags are used to store expressed milk. The bags come pre-sterilised, close with a leak-proof zip and stand up, so they are easy to place in the fridge. The date area on them helps you keep track of which milk to use first.

Cleaning the parts that come into contact with milk is the most important topic in this group. After every use, the parts are taken apart, washed and sterilised as described in the manual.

Choosing a breastfeeding product

Will you pump single or double?
A double pump expresses from both breasts at the same time, which shortens the total time. Single-breast use is also possible.
Level setting
Adjustable suction helps you find the level that feels comfortable. The highest level is not always the most efficient one.
Portability
A rechargeable model lets you use it at home or when you're out without being tied to a socket.
Storage routine
Bag capacity and a date label area make it easier to store your expressed milk in an organised way.

Frequently asked questions

How should I sterilise the parts?
Wash and rinse all parts that come into contact with milk in warm soapy water after every use. The sterilisation method, and which parts can go into boiling water, depend on the model; check the parts list in the manual. Never put the motor unit in water.
Which suction level should I use?
It is recommended to start at the lowest level and stay at the level you are comfortable with; the levels are there to help you find what suits you. Please take any questions about your breastfeeding routine to your breastfeeding consultant or doctor.
