About baby care
Following your baby's growth is easier with regular, comparable measurements. Each product in this group does a small job, but they all serve the same purpose: to give you a number instead of a guess.
A baby scale is a scale that can weigh precisely. With the tare function you can zero out the weight of a towel or blanket and see only your baby's weight. Weighing at the same time of day and under the same conditions every day makes the results comparable. What a reading means is for your doctor to assess.
A bath thermometer lets you see the water temperature before bath time starts. Its floating design means it stays in the water throughout the bath, making it easier to notice when the temperature drops. Weewell bath thermometers are BPA and mercury free.
A room thermometer shows the temperature of the space your baby is in. This is a room measurement, not a body temperature.
Choosing a baby care product
- Tare and accuracy on a scale
- The tare function zeroes out the weight of a blanket. The higher the accuracy, the more clearly you can see small changes.
- How long will you use it for?
- Baby scales weigh up to a certain limit. If you want to use it for longer, check the upper limit.
- Material of a bath thermometer
- Being free of BPA and mercury is the first thing you look for in a product that comes into contact with water and your baby.
Frequently asked questions
- How do I get the most consistent results from the scale?
- Place the scale on a hard, flat surface, choose a moment when your baby is calm and always repeat the measurement under the same conditions (for example, before bath time, with a clean nappy). Measurements taken under the same conditions can be compared with each other.
- Can the bath thermometer stay in the water?
- It is designed to float in the water throughout the measurement. When bath time is over, take it out of the water and dry it, and you can use it for many years. Safety warning: never leave your baby alone in the bath; the thermometer is not a toy.
- What does the room thermometer measure?
- The room thermometer shows the air temperature of the room it is in, not your baby's body temperature. It is used to check whether the room is within a suitable range for sleep.
